Which Emulators Support the Triscend The Triscend E5 Configurable System-on-Chip (CSoC) family does not require an emulator, saving you thousands of dollars. The E5 has a dedicated four-pin JTAG port for downloading and debugging applications plus two integrated hardware breakpoint units on chip. For most applications, you can directly download and debug your design from your computer using the Macraigor Wiggler JTAG cable or using the parallel port available on the E5 Evaluation Board. The Triscend FastChip 2.3.0 CD-ROM automatically installs drivers for Keil’s µVision2 source-level debugger, providing you with nearly a full-featured emulator but without the expensive emulator hardware.
